Opal Lee Fletcher (October 30, 1920 - April 20, 2007) The Obituary Opal Lee Fletcher was born October 30, 1920 in Griffin, GA to the union of the late Mr. & Mrs. Joe and Bessie Redding. She was the first of seven children to the union. Opal Lee Fletcher had two brothers (deceased): Joe Frank and John Robert, four sisters: Clementine, Rebecca, Lizzie (deceased), and Hazel, the last Redding. Opal was educated in the Georgia School System. She had worked for The Book Cadillac Hotel for a number of years. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and traveling. Opal had no children other own, so she made her nieces and nephews her children. She also enjoyed visiting with her favorite cousin Glady Parker and friends. She leaves behind to mourn: Sister Hazel Thomas of Detroit, Michigan, Bessie Redding (Guardian) of Chicago, Illinois and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. |
